The middle hill of the K1 vineyard is sandstone and quite different from the front hill where the K1 Gold Label Shiraz. The Shiraz from the middle hill is co-fermented with Viognier to add it's floral and white peach notes, as a perfect match to the earthy Shiraz.

Complex licorice and leather overtones with spicy black fruits, partly the interaction with a touch of Viognier; These delicious characters follow onto the palate with lingering dark fruits and peppery, and fine persistent tannins.

This is a versatile wine, with the ability to match similarly spicy foods. Perfect with slow cooked lamb shanks with Moroccan spices.
