K1 Gruner Veltliner 2011
The 2011 vintage on the K1 estate was one which led to the prime production of these early harvested white varieties, with crisp acid levels supported by an intense flavour profile.
The exceptional Austrian variety Grüner Veltliner has found a new home in the Adelaide Hills where it appears so well suited to our climate and terrior.
This wine shows the great attributes of its inheritance with elegant floral red apple spice aromas with nashi pear amid overtones of lemon pepper and extended minerality on the palate.
The variety we now simply call Gruner [grooner] has a great future at K1.
